I went to Birmingham city with my friend couple days ago to spend my term break. We went out early in the morning, visit some places where we never been there before and some events going on in the city. Besides that, there is a German Market in the city centre special for this Christmas season. A lot of thing are selling there, mostly are toys, food, jewellery, crystal, Asian stuffs and etc....We arrived at the city around 12noon, then we just walk around inside the train building called - Paradise. Then my friend bought some clothes, but I didn't because I do not like the design much.
We felt hungry and took our lunch at China Town after a short walk. I ordered a set lunch which was roasted duck and " Char Xiu" with white rice, a cup of coffee and a small bowl of " Tau Fu Fa".
We watched a film - The Golden Compass at Odeon Cinema. The ticket cost GBP5.40 for weekend and there was no seat number was print on the ticket. It was a free seat system here. We bought a set of snack before we entered to the cinema hall early to get a nice view seat. Oh my god, we spent almost 30 minutes sitting there just for the advertising before the film started. Felt bored and sleepy while the advert was playing. The film doesn't have the ending, I guess there will be a second part of Golden Compass in the future. I do not understand what the film about because the film doesn't have subtitle. I can't understand totally what are they talking.
The city looks beautiful at night because it covered by the beautiful and colourful. We took some picture before we went home. It was very cold at night here...
