The first day in UK

22 September 2007, 12.55am from KLIA and I stepped into Birmingham, UK on the same day 1.30pm. It was my first day at here. I felt very tired after spending approximately 13 hours in the flight and about 6 hours at Dubai International Airport. I can't imaging that i almost spent a day at airport and inside the flight, amazing and I don't want to experience it again recently until I have finished my study.

The meals served in the flight not really suit to asian people taste. By the way, just to let you know i took Emirates Airlines to Birmingham. It's cheap and looks not bad.

When I arrived at the Birmingham International Airport, I'm so surprise that the building looks old and traditional. You'll feel the same if you were here. I had been waiting for more than one hour to reach the immigration counter. It was a long queue.

University welcome team was waiting us at the arrival hall and we had spent around 1-2 hours before arrived to my residence hall, Jarrat Hall - university hostel. Don't ever think that university hostel is cheaper that private accommodation, it is not. The rental is double of private accommodation. But, the security, environment, furniture and others are much more better. At least you don't have to wory where to get it on the first day you arrived here. The weather here is cold, between 15-17 degree mid of Autumn. It's colder than Genting Highland.

I slept early that night because my inner time haven't adjusted. That is jetlag. There were no pillow and blanket or duvet. But, I am lucky that i brought my own blanket here. So, the next day went to Birmingham city, New Street to get my pillow and duvet.

I'll stop here, continue next time
